Stencil Week 3: Rose

         
The image I chose to create my stencil was a rose. The reason I selected such a simple image was not only because of its simplicity, I selected it for its hidden complexity. Nature has always fascinated me, ever since I was a child instead of playing with dolls I played with dirt, leaves, and rose petals. Nature was my Toys-r-us and in it I found happiness.

           
Roses are such beautiful plants, not only are they visually breathtaking their smell is also amazing. Roses represent beautiful strength. They seem harmless because of their beauty, but they can protect themselves. The thorns on each of their stems demonstrate their desire to remain whole.

       
 Nature has its own system and rules. I believe that plants are as significant as humans and animals, we just don’t want to accept them as so. We treat nature as an object, we destroy it, and slowly ruin its patters. But nature needs to be appreciated and protected. With the growth in technology, humans    have become ignorant to the damage they are creating. Mother nature is slowly dying and the sad reality is that we will not notice the damage we have created until it is too late.
