Week 3: Stencil

I was uncertain of my image selection for the stencil project for Wednesday’s class until I came across an image after doing a Google search. The image I selected was that of a man wearing a suit with a hat on his head that looked to be slightly tilted backwards. It quickly became my top choice out of 6 stencil images I selected.
At first, it was unclear why I selected the image for my album cover until I began to think why I gravitated towards this image. When I looked at this image I saw a man possible going out with his friends and having fun somewhere in downtown L.A. enjoying life to his fullest without thinking of the responsibilities of life. Or another possibility that quickly came to mind was the character of Neal Caffrey from the USA network television show, White Collar. Neal Caffrey is an art forger who got caught by an F.B.I agent, which he now works for him solving white-collar crimes for the New York F.B.I. division. Neal Caffrey is an amazing painter, able to forge the best art in the world and his passion for art is undeniable. I definitely relate to Neal Caffrey (not the criminal part of his character) because I hope to one-day work for the F.B.I making a difference and his passion for art.
