Maya Gonzalez
I was immediately drawn to the art of Maya Gonzalez while going through the list of artists. I think what interests me most is how she uses her artwork to empower and educate children. As a tutor for elementary school students, I love to see how others are making it their mission to affect the lives of the younger generation. I am interested in seeing how she incorporates her art into her children books. Also, I love the vivid colors and playful elements of her paintings and illustrations. Her work is fun to look at while still managing to integrate personal details of her life in a unique way.
