Family Drawing a La Carmen Lomas Garza

This Thanksgiving I was very thankful that my sister left her home to have Thanksgiving dinner with us. For the past 8 years we have been spending our holiday season at my sisters place. Where we play family games such as Jenga and Taboo around the dinner table. We are always so loud at these games that my sister is always telling us to keep it down, she's always afraid that the neighbors will complain. Yet this year we asked my sister to forget all about the stress and come over to our house. It was fun as all of our neighbors seemed to be out of town and there was no one refereeing our noise level. What made this dinner even more awesome is that my sister brought the whole turkey diner to us from Orange County,  I didn't have to stop studying to cook I'm really thankful for such a considerate sister. My mother, and daughter, and even my boyfriend helped, they all helped make this holiday stress free.
The picture that I decided to include as a family scene is that of my family around the dinner table, where we are eager to eat and eventually play games. I did asked my family to not look at the camera as I wanted to have an un-staged picture. But it was real difficult to get anyone to take me seriously so I just let them do what they wanted. In the end I really like the emotions that they showed the camera. My sister in the center is looking oddly at my boyfriend, and I know in my mind that she would rather sit elsewhere because he can get real loud. My daughter on the far side looks rather reserved as she is shy when taking family photos. Soon I will be adding my mother and that will complete my family drawing.
