I decide it to draw the whole room in thanksgiving as I'm watching from the top. I thought that was the best angle to capture everything and this is just part of the people they were at my house. In the kitchen was Irma cooking the rest of thanksgiving dinner and in the living room her husband and her sons and the one playing in the center is one of the granddaughters. As i came out of my room this was my first look to what my thanksgiving was Im very fortunate. I couldn't see anything else but color, unity and love in this room just like the one in Carmen Lopez Garza painting "Tamalada" it capture the same concept, some people helping other playing around . The meaning i catch is unity and love nothing more. Im not the best at drawing, some stuff i add it but for the sake of time I'm going to post it... I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving ..... This is what Carmen wrote in the painting "With Christmas season comes tradition and family. Whether its blood family or your created family it’s a time for sharing stories, learning lessons, doing some community organizing, teaching, bonding and most definitely lots of fun. For me and my family it means gather to make TAMALES! From many people I hear about Christmas turkey or ham but for me its tamales all the way; its not Christmas season for me with out them; so once again we gathered to make the tamales" and for my family is making the turkey ....and some times Tamales ...
