I will be doing my research on Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral. I am interested in exploring more of her landscape painting where she uses vibrant colors that are signature to her artistic style. Do Amaral is greatly known for "inventing modern art in Brazil" after traveling to Europe and learning from Cubism artist Fernand Léger. Although her training was in Europe, her paintings are mostly focused on Brazilian life and the female body which I think is very interesting!
