Letter to Laura Aguilar

Dear Laura,
I am writing to you today to express my admiration for your work and to congratulate you for what you have been able to accomplish. It is not everyday that you hear that someone was able to get comfortable with their body and accept them selves. This is a reality that saddens me deeply, but after all it is reality.
In a society that values repugnant beauty standards - and that has a list of beauty standards -your work is of major importance. I have always believed that everyone should be comfortable in their own skin and with their own shapes. There is no better love in this world than self-love but unfortunately that is something that has become extinct.
Therefore, I want to ask you; how was it that you came to this conclusion? I know that being one with nature helped you cope with your depression and move on to bigger better things. But, was there a switch that just turned the other way one day. In your view what was it specifically that made you channel your emotions toward creating art?
You are an extremely beautiful human being, whom is very lovable. I would love to continue to see the impact your work will create for others moving forward. Your message and story are very powerful tools that have and will continue to inspire many individuals to embrace themselves.
Love
Maria G Delgado
