Camille Rose Garcia

By far, one of my favorite artists this past quarter, was Camille Rose Garcia. Alice in Wonderland has always been a joy for me to read, mostly because of its dark and crazy nature. That's also why I am fond of authors like Franz Kafka and Miguel de Unamuno - it is interesting when reality is shaken up and, even moreso, when fantasy is.


Recently, I read an article on Buzzfeed on NY artist and photographer, Marco Bell: http://www.buzzfeed.com/gabrielsanchez/chinas-eerie-counterfeit-disneyland
His photographs remind me of Camille Rose Garcia's artwork, because he was able to capture the distortion of Disney, just like CRG's artwork was able to depict.



He photographed a 'counterfeit Disneyland' in China. Here are a few of his photographs:
