"The Magic Room"

"My goal is to keep paintings alive, to give them a sense of movement. I want to evoke a feeling that people just left the room." - Patssi Valdez

Above, there is a sense of instability and chaos. The walls are distorted, rising from odd angles, and the floor is swirling, as balls fly off into different directions. Two chairs, green and blue, are off balance - the green chair, hanging from the curtains. There is no doubt that her artwork evokes life. While "The Magic Room" is chaotic, "The Enchanted Room" is somewhat calm. Still colorful and vibrant, it depicts wild life and energy in nature. This might be my favorite piece, although not for any reason in particular.

"The Enchanted Garden"

Besides painting and photography, Valdez is also a performance and installation artist. I've pasted a link to a Youtube video. The title of the work is "Back Alleys and Art Galleries." Together, Vyal Reyes and Valdez transform a car into a piece of art.
