In this article, Diana Yesenia Alvarado is being interviewed, a South California Chicanx artist who hasn’t got much recognition yet.  Raised in South East and the East Side of Los Angeles she had interest in art all through her life, but only got to stick to it after getting into California State University, Long Beach.  When she was younger she was interested in drawing, painting, photography, etc., but later she started working with clay and fell in love with it.  She mostly creates figures from childhood cartoons and figures that most of the Chicanx community would find familiar and relate with.  She prefers clay figures over the other sorts of art because it allows her to create 3 Dimensional figures and go through a different processor in the making of each piece.
