Before reading anything about Xandra Ibarra, I watched a few of her videos, and looked at her works.
After watching and looking at her work, I could not help but to read more about her.
I am so fascinated with everything she has produced. My favorite piece of hers was the video titled "Fuck
My Life" made in 2012. I loved the way it was filmed, the song choice, everything. I especially like how it
was shed a comedic light on a really fucked up situation. Sometimes humor is the best way to deal with things
and this definitely did just that. Not only did Ibarra shed comedic light on the situation, but she also shed
light on such a real part of some Chicana's real lives. This is a very silly question, but what made her choose
her to dress up as a cockroach at the end? I have a few theories, but would love to hear hers.
