Delilah Montoya
I have chosen to do my presentation on Delilah Montoya because I am really interested in the way that she combines installation, portraiture, and photography to reveal images that are packed with meaning, symbolism, and recognizable iconography which makes her body of work feel extremely charged with historical and emotional importance. Her work can be dealt with at many angles, from exploring spirituality and ritual practices, to more general social concerns, such as gender roles and archaic traditions, which I am also interested to learn more about.
