Presentation : Natalia Ancisco
I will be presenting on Natalia Ancisco. She is a Chicana artist who grew up on the border of Texas and Mexico and shares her perspective on identity through mostly installation art. I am intrigued by her youthful age and the fact that she is now living and working out of Oakland, where I used to live. I also am interested on her perspective on this idea of "border control" between Mexico and the U.S, as well as the migrant farmworker lineage that she comes from. I am excited to learn more about this young artist!
