Class Reflection

This quarter was a very busy overwhelming one. Coming to our Chicana Art and Artist class has been a stress reliever from the outside world as the content has been enjoyable and the art component has been therapeutic. My favorite memory from the class is seeing everyone present as I learned some of the interest that people are passionate about and artist that accurately resemble your passions. I enjoyed reading the small short book on the artist that were assigned as they offered an accurate insight into Chicana's who have revolutionized art through their self-expression and addressing political issues and expression of identity. Additionally, I found myself enjoying the art component despite my very poor drawing skills. Lastly, to mention, my favorite assignment was the one where we had to research out the artist of choice, I was truly intrigued by Tarsila Do Amaral and felt grateful that I was able to research her for a class and apply it to a presentation rather than just finding interest in her work but never attempting to really understand it!

Thank you all for a great quarter 💫😇☃🌙
