The chicana artist Carlee Fernandez creates distinct work in the way that she is able to break boundaries and explore them beyond the typical limit to create and express herself. Fernandez was born in the year 1973 in Southern California and was raised in Santa Ana. She attended and received her Masters in Fine Arts in Claremont Graduate University and has been actively creating different works that have been in different collections.

This website highlights a few of her accomplishments in regards to her education and her work as well. It overall tells the reader about the style of photography that she does. The website lightly goes into detail about her life but speaks about her different works. There is an interview that was conducted with her in which she speaks about the process of making her piece that involved the use of bear fur. She also dives into explaining more background on her other works and what led her to captivate an image with great meaning behind it.
